How it works
Show us your job board
Pull up your last few months of invoices: what kind of job, which part of Richmond, what it billed and whether the quote was won. That's enough for a first honest read.
Set a cost ceiling per job
We work out what you can afford to pay for one booked job, choose the two or three channels that can deliver under that number, and write the plan down before any money is spent.
Talk it through with a person
No sales script and no junior account rep. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Richmond Marketing helps trade businesses in Richmond, BC win more of the jobs they actually want, at a cost per job they can live with. We work out what one booked job is worth to you, where on the island your crews can reach on time, and which searches and customers are worth paying for. Then we run the marketing and report on booked work, not clicks.
We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a contractor: we don't install, repair or service anything, and we never resell your leads to a competitor. Richmond Marketing is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, a Canadian company headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and it's led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.
Why Richmond needs its own trade plan
Richmond looks like any other Metro Vancouver suburb on a map, but it behaves differently for a trade business. Three facts shape almost every plan we write here.
- Most homes are stacked. In the 2021 Census, apartments outnumbered every other dwelling type in Richmond: about 34,000 units in low-rise and high-rise buildings combined, against roughly 24,400 single-detached houses and 15,900 row houses. That means a lot of your work is approved by a strata council or a property manager, not just a homeowner.
- Language matters at the quote stage. The 2021 Census figures show Cantonese and Mandarin together as the mother tongue of about 46% of residents. A homeowner who can read your page and text you in the language they're comfortable with is more likely to book.
- The island is the service area. A crew based near No. 5 Road can be in Steveston quickly, but a trip over a bridge at 4 p.m. can wreck a schedule. Your Google profile, ads and landing pages should reflect the trips that pay.
You can read how each part of the city plays out on our Richmond areas page.
What we do for Richmond trades
We keep the menu short on purpose. Most owners need two or three of these, not all four.
- Map-pack and local search: a Google Business Profile and website pages built around your real services and the planning areas you cover, so you show up when someone nearby searches for your trade.
- Google Ads with a job-cost ceiling: search campaigns where the maximum you'll pay for a booked job is set from your own numbers before launch.
- Strata and property-manager work: the slower, steadier channel of repeat calls from the people who manage Richmond's apartment and townhouse buildings.
- Cantonese and Mandarin customer reach: translated service pages, profile details and ad copy that match how many Richmond households search and text.
The services overview explains how to choose between them.
A worked example you can check
Say your average residential plumbing ticket in Richmond is $650 and your gross margin on it is 45%. Each job leaves about $290 before overhead. If you're willing to spend a third of that to win the job, your ceiling is roughly $95 per booked job.
Now say one in three phone calls turns into a booked job. You can afford about $32 per call. If clicks in your category cost $8 and one in six clicks becomes a call, each call costs $48. That's over the ceiling, so the answer is not "spend more". It's to tighten the search terms, fix the landing page so more visitors call, or point the money at higher-value work like repiping or drain replacement. Our guide to cost per booked job walks through the full method.
Results from our HVAC work
Every published case study in the group is a heating or cooling company. On a trades site like this one, we call them results from our HVAC work and never pass them off as plumbing or roofing wins. They show the method, which carries over to other trades.

How we work, and what it costs
You deal with a senior strategist from the first conversation. We start with your job data, not a template, and we write down what each month will cost and what we expect it to produce before anything launches. Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel, and you own your website, profile and ad accounts.
Trades plans start at $1,999 a month, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus GST. The pricing page shows every plan and what drives cost, and the FAQ answers the usual questions about contracts and ownership. More about the group behind us is on the about page. Frequently asked questions
What is Richmond Marketing?
A Canadian marketing and business consulting service built only for Richmond, BC trade businesses. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it, and it belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, whose head office is in Vancouver.
Do you send crews or do the trade work?
No. We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't sell leads to other companies. We plan your marketing, run it, and give you straight business advice along the way.
Which trades do you work with?
Mainly plumbing, electrical, roofing and gutters, drainage, renovation, flooring, painting, landscaping and similar home-service crews. Our published results come from HVAC companies, and we label them that way.
How much does it cost?
Trades plans start at $1,999 a month month-to-month, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus 5% GST. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses.
Is Richmond really different from the rest of Metro Vancouver?
For a trade, yes. Most homes are apartments or townhouses, a large share of residents speak Cantonese or Mandarin at home, and every trip off the island depends on a bridge or the tunnel. Those three facts change how you should market.
How fast will I see calls?
Paid search can produce calls in the first couple of weeks once tracking is in place. Map-pack and organic work usually takes two to four months to build. We won't promise a number of leads, but we report every month on calls, booked jobs and cost per job.
